Former NFL running back OJ Simpson passed away this week, losing a battle with cancer after being diagnosed a little under a year ago.

Simpson, a star for the USC Trojans and a Heisman Trophy winner before his move to the pros, is dead at 76 after a highly controversial existence.

One of the best RBs in NFL history, OJ was one of the most celebrated athletes of his time and went on to find success in sports broadcasting and acting after his retirement. However, things came crashing down after his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman, were stabbed to death in 1994.

OJ became the prime suspect; however, he was acquitted 11 months later.

The former football star is now being accused of sexual assault and battery, with a woman stepping forward in the wake of his passing. According to her social media post, USC settled claims with the families of two white women who claimed Simpson violated them while still in college.

It is also alleged that USC covered the incident up to protect their player.

Before OJ could graduate from USC, the university paid off two families of two blonde white girls that he had dated and battered. They had both gone to the LAPD to report it. One claimed he also sexually assaulted her in their relationship. The school had a vested interest in OJ going far in football and protected him at all costs,” the post notes.

OJ Simpson’s Lawyers Accused Of Burying Details Of His USC Case

OJ’s trial may have been viewed under very different lenses had the claims come to light back then. However, it’s also reported that his attorneys visited USC in 1995 to bury the claims and ensure they wouldn’t be brought up in his other trial. The university is said to have been willing to conceal the allegations due to Simpson’s status as a celebrity who attended there.

The woman said she signed an NDA but no longer feels bound by it now that Simpson has died.
