Jada Pinkett Smith is saying goodbye to her “furry son.”
The actress, 52, took to Instagram on Wednesday to mourn the death of her 15-year-old dog, Fang. She announced his death alongside a slideshow of sweet photos and a video of the black-and-white husky.
“Last night we lost one of our furry sons Fang,” she wrote. “He brought so much love into our family, our animal pack and community. Thank you Fang for 15 years of pure joy. We are going to miss you soooooo much😘”
In two of the images, Pinkett Smith is hiking with the pup, and the video shows him walking around in the snow alongside one of the family’s other dogs.
The comments flooded with words of support, with Pinkett Smith’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, writing: “We will miss our furry, gentle giant❣️✨🙏🏾🕊️”
DJ Jazzy Jeff wrote, “😢😢😢😢 Rest well my friend,” while producer Charlie Mack simply put: “😢 In my prayers!”
Pinkett Smith continued to share memories on her Instagram stories later in the day.

The Red Table Talk host recently opened up about her family life, saying she doesn’t think her marriage will ever end after husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.
“I nearly didn’t even attend the Oscars that year, but I’m glad I did,” Jada said in a December feature in the Daily Mail’s YOU Magazine.
“I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it.”
Smith went after Rock after the comedian poked fun at Pinkett Smith’s appearance while hosting the award show. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor, 55, walked on the stage and slapped Rock — which Pinkett Smith previously told PEOPLE she initially thought was a skit — before returning to his seat.

“That moment of the s— hitting the fan is when you see where you really are,” said Jada, who previously revealed that she and Will had been separated for seven years. “After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him.”
She added: “Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”
