Privacy Policy
What data this website handles and what stays on your device.Last updated: Oct 1, 2026
Draft for the launch edition. This is a plain-language description of how tin356.com handles information. It is not legal advice, and it needs review by a qualified professional before the site goes into full production. We have no company address to list yet and will add the required details then.
What this website does
tin356.com is a static website. It has no user accounts, no sign-in and no server that stores personal data from visitors. We have not set up analytics, advertising trackers or behavioural profiling at launch. If that changes, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
What stays on your device
Some features save small pieces of information in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is not sent to us.
- Theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Saved stories: the list of stories you bookmarked.
- Waiting list: any email address you typed into a newsletter form. At present it is stored only in your browser. No newsletter is being sent.
- Poll and quiz: your own answers.
- Helpful marks you placed on stories.
You can remove all of it at any time using the button on the Cookie Settings page or the Profile page, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Forms that open your email app
The contact and pitch forms do not send anything themselves. They open your own email program with a pre-filled message. What you then send goes from your email account to ours, under your provider's terms, and we will use it only to respond to you.
Third-party resources
To display pages, your browser loads fonts, icons, scripting libraries and images from external servers. Those servers can see standard connection information such as your IP address and browser details. We do not control their policies. You may wish to use browser settings or extensions that limit such requests.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain uses. Because the site stores nothing about you on a server, there is little for us to provide, but if you have written to us you can ask us to delete the correspondence. Questions can go to [email protected], a placeholder address that will be confirmed before full launch.
Children
The site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes and will explain significant changes in plain words.
